Not all customer facing roles are the same, and sometimes dealing with the public can have its challenges, particularly when handling issues and complaints.

The Highfield Level 2 Award in Conflict Management (RQF) has been designed to provide conflict management skills to anyone working in a customer facing role, deals with service users or the public in general.

It is applicable to a wide range of sectors, and can be taken by anyone requiring a better understanding of how to prevent conflict from arising, or would like to feel more confident in being able to deal with challenging situations.

Topics covered:

  • how communication can be used to solve problems and reduce the likelihood of conflict

  • the factors that influence human responses in conflict situations

  • how to assess and reduce risks in conflict situations

  • how to communicate effectively and de-escalate conflict in emotive situations

  • good practice to follow after conflict situations

 

  • These new qualifications are only available to classroom learners. Unlike many of our other courses, they do require a little more structured delivery and group participation.

    That said, we are not a “stand up and preach” type of training centre. Our approach remains relaxed, supportive and learner-focused – you will still receive plenty of individual attention, and our tutors are always on hand to guide you through. The main difference is that these sessions will involve more direct delivery than you may be used to with our other courses.

    Our Grantham training centre offers the ideal environment – supportive tutors, like-minded peers, and a friendly space where learning doesn’t feel like school. The radio will be on, the kettle will be boiled, and you’ll have the opportunity to learn in a professional but relaxed atmosphere.

  • You’ll complete this course in just 2 days. Delivered as a focused block of learning, it combines teaching, practical activities, and assessment – meaning you gain your qualification quickly and with full support from your tutor.

  • Assessment is through a multiple-choice questionnaire, completed at the end of the course. This allows you to demonstrate your understanding of the topics covered in a clear and straightforward way.

  • The fee covers everything you need for the course – your qualification registration, teaching, and all the support to help you succeed.

  • The price you will pay for this course with 3CATS is only £180

  • To qualify for funding from Lincolnshire County Council and The European Social Fund you must meet the following criteria;

    1. You must be aged 19 or older as of 31.08.2025

    2. You must live in Lincolnshire

    3. You must earn £25,750 or less per year OR be in receipt of state benefits such as Universal Credit, Job Seekers Allowance etc
