We’re 3cats – a growing, down-to-earth training provider supporting adults to upskill, rebuild confidence, and get back into work.
We help people who often feel left behind by traditional education – adults who may be anxious, underemployed, or just in need of a new direction. We focus on bookkeeping, accounting and employability – practical skills with real value.
We’re looking for a new part-time tutor to help us deliver small group learning in Grantham and support some learners online.
This could be ideal for you if...
You want rewarding, meaningful work in adult education
You enjoy helping people succeed, especially those who doubt themselves
You need a flexible role that fits around other responsibilities
You’re open to growing with us as our organisation develops
You might be...
A qualified tutor who’s comfortable teaching adults
A bookkeeper or accountant with a knack for explaining things clearly
Someone changing careers and looking for purpose-driven work
A warm, patient, organised person who believes in second chances
Whether you’re experienced in teaching or accounting (or both), we’re open to supporting the right person to gain the qualification they’re missing.
You’ll be doing things like:
Teaching small groups of adult learners in person (predominantly in Grantham)
Providing online support to help learners stay on track
Tracking progress, giving feedback, and cheering on the wins
Helping with light admin – no death-by-spreadsheet here
Bringing a calm, kind presence to the classroom
We’d love it if you had:
A Level 2 or above qualification in accounting/bookkeeping (AAT, IAB, ICB, etc.)
A teaching qualification (AET/PTLLS or above) – or willingness to train
Experience supporting adults in any context – education, mentoring, employment
Good basic tech skills (email, Zoom, Word/Excel, Teams etc.)
A team spirit and a “let’s make it work” approach
What we offer:
A genuinely friendly, learner-focused organisation
School-friendly hours and flexible working
The chance to grow your role as we expand
A supportive team culture – ideas welcome, jargon optional
How to apply
Email info@3cats.org.uk with your CV and a short message telling us:
Why you’re interested in the role
What your background is (teaching, accounting or both)
Your preferred working days/hours
Applications reviewed from 20th June 2025. Informal interviews will follow.
A quick note from us:
We know applying for jobs can feel daunting — especially if you’ve been out of the classroom or are trying something new. If you’re not sure you tick every box but feel this role could be a good fit, we’d still love to hear from you.
