Swimming for David: A 6K Challenge in Support of MNDA
This May, our Director, Kym, embarked on a deeply personal journey by completing the Swim 6K in May challenge. The cause behind this challenge hit close to home for all of us—the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA). It was an initiative inspired by our beloved Founder, David, whose recent diagnosis with motor neurone disease (MND) has touched our hearts and driven this collective effort.
David: A Legacy of Strength and Inspiration
David has always been the heart and soul of our company. His unwavering determination, kindness, and leadership have shaped not only our business but also the lives of everyone who has had the privilege of working with him.
When David was diagnosed with MND, it sparked a deep sense of urgency within us to raise awareness for the disease and support the incredible work being done by the MNDA.
David has always led by example—facing challenges head-on with a spirit that inspires us all. His courage in the face of this diagnosis motivated Kym to take on the challenge, not just as a director, but as a friend. Deeply moved by David’s strength, Kym was determined to do everything possible to support him and raise awareness for this important cause.
A Personal Journey and a Successful Fundraiser
Kym's journey wasn’t just about swimming—it was a tribute to David’s strength and to all those affected by MND. Through each stroke, Kym pushed past not only physical limits but also emotional ones, fighting for a future where MND is better understood and ultimately defeated.
We are proud to announce that Kym exceeded the initial fundraising goal by £41, raising an impressive £191 in total. We are incredibly grateful for every donation, big or small, and proud to contribute to such an important cause. Every penny raised will help the MNDA continue its vital work in providing support for families affected by MND and funding groundbreaking research.
To David
David, your strength inspires us every day. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this effort. Together, we are helping bring us one step closer to a world where MND is better understood and, one day, defeated.
